When Life Knocks You Down: Why I Wrote GOD IS WORKING ON A BIGGER YES
You never know where life will take you. Some seasons feel like they will never end — heavy, relentless, and impossible to escape. In those moments, it’s easy to believe you’ve hit a glass ceiling. That every piece is pointing toward disaster, with no options left.
That’s exactly where I found myself when this book was born. Frustrated. Confused. Angry. Upset. And yet, in some strange way, inspired. Because even in the thick of life’s chaos, I could see things in multiple directions. But that didn’t erase the pain. It didn’t stop the heavy bricks from piling up.
I realized something: if I couldn’t get the win I was aiming for, I could at least help someone else manage while they wait for theirs. That’s when it hit me — God is working on a bigger YES.
I wrote this book partly selfishly, to add time to the clock for myself. Life kept stripping things away and throwing obstacles at me all at once. But I knew I had to keep smiling, to put my best foot forward. Because survival, to me, meant pushing through.
But here’s the truth:
If you show weakness, the world may use it against you.
If you show too much strength, people assume you’ll always bounce back.
But what happens when your bounce-back is expired? When you’re past the “cutoff date” for healing?
That’s what inspired this book.
If you’re in a battle, if you feel like you can’t take one more “no,” or you’re sick of hearing “it’ll get better,” this book is for you.
This is not a cure-all, but it’s a book I would describe as a hand steadying you as you pull life’s darts out one by one. Every chapter meets you at the bullseye of your pain and helps you release it, slowly and steadily, reminding you that you are not alone.
